Origin

The women who weave these rugs are members of a cooperative, engaging other women when needed for voluminous orders. By buying one of these rugs you are also contributing to the empowerment of women in these communities.

Craftsmanship

Rugs made of 100% cotton dyed in Fès (Morocco), with natural dyes (sometimes a mix of natural and chemical). The style of weaving is called “hanbel”. The weavers choose the designs themselves, usually geometrical figures. The background colors are usually red, grey, blue, black, or white, with multi color embroideries. However they can vary according to the preferences of the buyers.
