Mag for "Maghreb" or "Al-Maghreb" (المغرب) meaning Morocco in Arabic + Rug.

MagRug is a family project owned by Veronica and her children. She is from Chile and has spent most of her life in Casablanca (Morocco) where her husband is from.

They are passionate about Moroccan craftsmanship and also wanted to have a positive impact on local communities. So they decided to create MagRug based on two key principles:

Socially responsible. Ensure local communities are compensated fairly to contribute to their development

Unique craftmanship. Ensure future customers would have access to unique high quality products, carefully selected

For these reasons, they work mostly with local women cooperatives and they are specialized only in one product, rugs.
